From LA / San Bernardino / Orange County / San Diego
There are two ways to come to Big Bear from these areas. The least curvy and easiest when pulling a trailer is through Redlands on Hwy 38. That also brings you very close to our arena. That’s the direction we’ll give you here. If you’re coming from the Yucaipa area follow these directions from Highway 38 up the mountain:

Make your way to I-10 east toward Redlands. This is east of I-15 and I-215.
In Redlands, take the Highway 38 turn off at Orange Ave. This is a surface street exit, not a highway interchange.
At the bottom of the offramp, turn left (back under the freeway).
Go approximately 4-5 small blocks to the light at Lugonia Ave., turn right. You are then on Highway 38.
Continue on that road, it will take you through a bit of town, then it will climb up the mountain.
You will be on this road for about 45 miles.
You’ll know when you pass Lake Williams that you’re descending into Big Bear Valley.
Pass State Lane on the right, Baldwin Lane on the left, begin slowing.
After you pass Montclair on the left you’ll see Zaca Road on the right. That’s your turn, to the right onto Zaca. It’s tight so be ready.

At the end of Zaca Road, turn right again. Watch on the left for a brown ranch house called Rancho Osito, and look for a wide automatic gate right past it. That gate should be open and you turn left into it, onto the gravel road.
You’ll then come upon our arena. Turn right on the road before the arena and drive along side to the parking area at the other end. Map Image

From Palm Springs / Arizona
Use I-10 west, past Beaumont.
Just past Calimesa, exit Live Oak Canyon/Oak Glen Road. Turn right off the off ramp, which puts you on Oak Glen Road.
Pass through the light at Yucaipa Blvd, and continue past the big regional/community park, to the light at Bryant St. Turn left onto Bryant.
Take Bryant all the way to Highway 38. Turn right.
You will be on this road for about 45 miles.
You’ll know when you pass Lake Williams that you’re descending into Big Bear Valley.

After you pass Montclair on the left you’ll see Zaca Road on the right. That’s your turn, to the right onto Zaca. It’s tight so be ready.

From Las Vegas / Victorville / Apple Valley / Yucca Valley
Make your way to Lucerne Valley using either Highway 18 from Victorville or Highway 247 from Barstow or Yucca Valley.
In Lucerne Valley, you want to get onto Highway 18 where it bends north and heads up the mountains from the north side.
From Barstow 247, you can go straight thru the stop sign in Lucerne and left onto 18 there.
From Yucca 247, turn left on Camp Rock Road, then left onto 18 near the cement plant.
From Victorville, stay on 18 when it bends north.

This portion of highway 18, as it winds past the cement plant, gets somewhat curvy and steep. It’s only about 12 miles, though, so just go as slow as you need to, it doesn’t take long.
When you get over the pass into Big Bear Valley, you’ll be in Baldwin Lake. Just keep going straight on 18, around the lake (it’s a dry lake) to the left. After the road straightens out and you’re in a residential/ranch area, watch for Greenway Rd/Hwy 38 to your left.
Turn left onto Greenway/38. When you come to the stoplight at Big Bear Blvd/38 (Valero gas station) turn left at the light.
Go through the light at Maple, then stay on 38 where it curves right and says it’s the way to Redlands.
Don’t pick up too much speed here, as your turn is coming up. Pass Dutch Way, the next left is Zaca Road. Turn left onto Zaca.

Map Image
